Mike Costello is the Comparisons Editor at CarExpert. He also writes a lot of content focusing on wider trends in the car industry as a whole, looking at sales, policy and alternate-fuels.
Mike has been an automotive journalist since 2010. His previous roles included Senior Editor at CarAdvice and Nine Entertainment’s auto arm, and Managing Editor at industry-facing title GoAuto News. He has also worked as a car salesman and detailer, and wrote his Honours thesis on the uses of social media in global politics. That wasn’t a smart way to get a HECS debt…
His garage includes a 2019 Suzuki Jimny - blue with a black roof, BF Goodrich AT tyres, steel wheels, and a manual ‘box - an E36 318i manual, and a Honda CB300. The dream cars at the time of writing are a Taycan, and a Lexus LFA just to hear that Yamaha V10 in the Burnley tunnel.
